Supported by Tokyo Electron (TEL), the Global Students’ Idea Factory (Global Si-Fa) 2024/25 was successfully held from November 2024 to August 2025. This international program, organized by JAAS in collaboration with JICA and SINAPS, brought together 32 graduate students from diverse backgrounds and research fields.
🌟 Program Highlights
- Diverse Themes: Teams tackled six critical global issues, including Climate Justice, Future-ready Farms, and AI & Mental Health.
- Global Collaboration: Students from Japan and abroad collaborated through a hybrid format of online workshops and in-person sessions at JICA Tokyo.
- Final Awards: On August 7, 2025, the Climate Justice Team received the JAAS Prize, and the Building Future-ready Farms Team was awarded the JICA Prize for their innovative and actionable proposals.
💡 Outcomes
Through this program, participants developed essential leadership, cross-cultural understanding, and communication skills, broadening their future career paths and boosting their confidence as global changemakers.
